8 PROVEN TIPS TO LOSE WEIGHT WITHOUT EXERCISE OR FAD DIETS

We understand, exercise is not everyone’s cup of tea. Perhaps you have an injury that’s keeping you from hitting the yoga mat. Perhaps it is a medical condition that makes exercising a no-no. Or perhaps the ordeal is to overwhelming as it is. If you’re planning on losing weight in 2020, just know one simple rule: exercise contributes to 20 per cent of weight loss—80 per cent are what you’re eating and other lifestyle habits. Lets look at 7 of those habits you can incorporate to help you shed off the pounds.

DIVIDING YOUR PLATE

Your plate should be one-half salad, one quarter protein and one quarter carb. Excluding a food group is never the answer; just divide it smartly!

GIVING UP OIL

Refined oil to be exact. Try cooking all your favorite meals without oil altogether, but when you have to, use ghee, coconut oil or real olive oil instead.

CUTTING AWAY SUGAR

Any food that comes out of a packet or is quickly prepared has A LOT of hidden sugar in it… even your fast food burger and fries. Go for fruit instead!

YOU NEED MORE WATER THAN YOU THINK

Often, your body misconstrues thirst as hunger. Whenever you feel hungry, have a glass of water first and see if that helps out.

BREATHE PROPERLY…  (YEAH! YOU HEARD THAT)

Believe it or not, breathing properly helps you lose weight. Ribcage breathing actually helps you active and tighter your deep core muscles, giving the appearance of a cinched waistline.

NO SCREEN TIME DURING MEALS

Concentrate on your plate and your chewing as you eat. Stay away from screens or you’ll never know what you’re putting inside your body.

GET COOKING AT HOME

Favor home cooked meals over ordered in. You should know the ingredients that are going into your meals.

WEIGH YOURSELF

Keep a weighing machine underneath your bed and every morning after you’ve been to the washroom, weigh yourself so you can keep a check of those extra pounds every alternate day.
