We got our hands on the one of Layla Chatoor’s shoots from her collection ‘Garden of Eden Volume II’. The collection is a diffuse pret version of her initial bridal one working with both eastern and western cuts and design sensibilities. The collection featured luxurious yet breathy fabrics with motifs such birds, flowers all translating the designer’s vision of the collection’s source of inspiration. This diffuse version of the London Fashion Parade collection consists of digital oriental village prints and Japanese embroidered garden images on capes & jackets.
Layla Chatoor along with her husband Mansoor Ali Chatoor, own Renaissance and the famous Thread & Motifs. Layla established her luxury label in the year 1994 and since has been successfully creating ensembles that focus on ‘timeless elegance’. She creates bridals and luxury pret working with tulle, lamé, silks and chiffons. About her designing Layla says, ‘My forte lies in unwavering attention to detail and meticulously researched motifs using the dying art of exotic miniature in most of my pieces.’
