Mahira Khan is the only Pakistani representing her country on a universal platform amongst the sheen of artists and celebrities from around the world at the Festival De Cannes, and has been flaunting looks that are perking up our newsfeeds since she hit touchdown. Where the world was waiting for celebrity photos to drop dead on social media, we were restlessly eyeing for Mahira’s first appearance on Day 1. We picked out looks that she wore from Pakistani designers and personally think that they worked well for her than the other looks.

Clad in nude shade crossover bustier, harem pants and an exquisitely beautiful silk kimono from the magnum opus Elan’s festive collection, Nisa Nur, Mahira was posing for a photograph while basking in the glorious sun. The subtle and au-natural yet minimal makeup and absolutely perfect low bun looked chic enough to set the tone right for her at the glamorous Cannes, and had all of us back home in wonder as she roped in the style quotient with her elusive persona.

Forward to Day 3 of the Festival De Cannes for Mahira Khan rose to beautiful sunrise on the French Riviera because this pretty lady just caused yet another social media frenzy with desi girl vibes donning a fishtail braid in a pink lamé sari with a subtle gold metallic sheen, from Karachi-based designers, Menahel and Maheen. The deluxe-looking sari was taken from their hand-embroidered Whirling Dervish Series, paired with bejeweled series black velvet and crystal sari-blouse, and their Chaman Clutch. All these items were meticulously hand-crafted and together clock more than 1000 hours of manual workmanship, inclusive only of labour and not the efforts of design and other personnel! To further accentuate her look, both Menahel and Maheen helped Mahira Khan select yellow and white gold pear and round-shaped earrings born from diamonds and emeralds from Aliel suggesting a few alters to flatter her look for the day!

Mahira Khan is an ethereal vision in this beautiful look and we’re hoping that she wraps Cannes 2018 on a grand new beginning for us!
