HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR HAIR IN YOUR 30s

September 27, 2022

Hair is an asset for women that make them walk confidently. A good set of hair trailing their backs can make them look more beautiful. To beautify themselves, women spend their 20s straightening, curling, blow drying, bleaching, and experimenting with their hair. However, when they get to their 30s, their body is not strong enough to protect their hair from damage. So, there are a few hair care tips for women over 30.

Women experience a change in lifestyle and genes when they enter their 30s. Many of them have done quite a lot wrong to their hair at their earlier ages. So 30s is the age when they need recovery but they do not have enough time for that. Hair follicles do not produce much at this age because they have dried a lot.

These are the following problems that prevail in this age are:

  • Itchy scalp due to lack of moisture.
  • Hair thinning and breakage because of stress and workload.
  • Melanin production reduces and causes grey hair.
  • Decreased oil production causes additional frizz.

All these problems need extra maintenance so take a look at the few hair care tips for women over 30.

TRY USING ORGANIC HAIR CARE PRODUCTS

Hair follicles are weak at this age and require daily intake of vitamins and nutrients. So, they must add natural products to their daily life to make up for all the losses. Chemical substances in shampoos, conditioners, and hair care products cannot do much benefit at this age. These products make artificial changes to their hair and enhance its appearance, only artificially. So, natural products are healthy.

They need to add plant-based oils to their life that improve the quality of hair. Women over 30 must take out some time from their routine to do extra oiling at this age. Oils like coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, sesame oil, and rosemary oil can bring back the moisture that lacks in the scalp. Regularly moisturizing the scalp can nourish the hair and add extra care that the hair needs at that time.

Try to do oiling at least 2-3 times per week. Along with oiling, women should also add protein masks made from natural remedies once a week that will revive their hair when they need the most.

AVOID WASHING YOUR HAIR FREQUENTLY

Shampoos that we use daily are silicone based only maintain an artificial appearance. These shampoos do not provide much benefit to the scalp. However, it is important to keep the scalp clean to make the hair healthy. Overdoing shampoo can cause women’s dry hair to become drier. So wash your hair a maximum of 2 times per week.

The best way to keep your hair strong is to choose the best shampoo for your hair type. So, check if you have normal, oily, or dry hair.

EAT A PROTEIN-RICH DIET

Topical treatment is not efficient enough to maintain the beauty of your hair. Genes and hair care products could not do any good if you do not have a balanced diet. Just like your skin, your hair is what you eat.

This is one of the greatest hair care tips for women over 30 to add all the nutrients and vitamins to their diet. Your hair is made up of proteins which is a vital requirement in your diet. Add foods to your diet which include zinc, potassium, vitamins, iron, and Omega 3.

So women over 30s must take vitamin supplements that fulfill their daily intake when taking meals is not the best option.

Women must eat green leafy vegetables, eggs, fish, berries, avocados, and meat because they are rich in everything that women need.

PLEASE DON’T OVER STYLE YOUR HAIR

Styling in the 20s can do a lot of damage to hair follicles. But the body has enough potential to make your hair look healthy at a younger age. However, the hair needs extra care when you grow older.

Flat iron straightening, blow drying, curling, and setting sprays can deteriorate your scalp even further. All this may lead to thinning, breakage, dryness, and much more. Therefore, it is vital for women over 30s to avoid hair styling.

If you cannot go without heat styling, make sure to use heat protectant sprays or products to avoid as much damage as possible.

OPT FOR A MID-LENGTH HAIR CUT

Long hair undoubtedly looks great but when you get to a mature age, it becomes difficult to manage them properly. Without proper care, long hair turns into long strands of damaged locks that can degrade your personality.

So, it is better to keep mid-lengthed hair that is easy to manage and looks beautiful. So go for trimming and hair-cut that you can take care of easily. Mid-lengthed cut is suitable for women over 30s because they can manage their hair without a lot of effort.

LADIES, STRESS LESS

The 30s is an age when women are family-oriented or career-oriented or both. At this age, women have to worry about a lot of things that can cause their hair to fall and turn grey. This leads to a lack of confidence by dulling their personality. So, the best among the hair care tips for women over 30 is to worry less because it is the core reason for all these problems.
