One of the many blockbusters featured on Green Entertainment- ‘Tumharey Husn Kay Naam’, is
one of the leading dramas on the channel starring some big, prominent names like Saba Qamar,
and Imran Abbas. With several closely intertwined themes- of love, betrayal,
misunderstandings, the regret and remorse of that which has passed, words unspoken, and
now everything coming back full circle; this drama has proved to be a hit for all the right
reasons.
An Ode To The Past:
The episode opens with an old lady, (our very own Bua), cleaning up some old frames, as she
converses with a rather aged Saba Qamar. As the two reflect upon how a good 27 years have
passed, the memories of Salma’s parents still remain fresh for the two by the multiple pictures
hanging in their house. We see a rather distressed Salma, worried about something at the back
of her mind, which she refuses to openly talk about.
A Life Revamped:
Next, we see a rather old and polished Sikandar, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of
London. After all this time, it would appear as though Sikandar has really managed to turn his
life around. From who once used to be a youn, struggling lad coming from a small town; has
now evolved into a rich, flourished architect in a big city like London. Big cars, a good suit, the
best views, and stellar new gadgets; something still seems to be missing in his life.
An Unpleasant Reunion:
After a long suspenseful wait, Sarah’s father is finally revealed- who happens to be none other
than Atif Malik himself! Staying true to the essence of his character’s initial traits- Atif still
shows an aura of a strong ego, and condescension, even towards his own daughter. Forever
against the over independence of a woman; he tries to tame his own daughter down as well.
Which, in effect incurs great displeasure on Sarah’s end.
A Heated Outburst Of Emotions:
As a result of the unpleasant reunion between sarah and her father- we see a rather enraged
side to her character. Fuming with various different emotions, Sarah lashes out on Umar for
something as benign as ringing the doorbell obsessively. What appears to be an annoyance on
her part owing to Umar’s act, is really just the wrong outlet for Sarah’s anger towards her
father’s words. Looks like Umar just becomes collateral at this point.
A Fateful Meeting:
Years later, Sikandar is seen visiting his old college, reminiscing the days and moments spent
there in his youth. From the first instance when he and Salma had their chance encounter
courtesy of the cricket ball flying off in the wrong direction; to several other moments precious
to his memory- everything is recalled. As Sikandar continues to explore his Alma Mater, he runs into his former love- Salma! What were the odds of that happening especially after all this time? As the episode progresses, we
learn that it was indeed Salma who extends a professional invite to Sikandar as a guest at the
college, where she now also teaches.
A Proposal Long Overdue:
As the episode reaches its end- we see two former lovers (Salma and Sikandar), strolling down a
park. As their conversation unfolds, we learn that Salma has now been divorced, and Sikandar’s
wife – Muneeza has now passed away. This revelation, inevitably paves a way for old flames to
once again rekindle, as Sikandar proposes to Salma.
The episode ends at a cliffhanger of sorts. Leaving the viewers clinging to their seats, the
audience is left to wonder – will the two finally reunite now, with all their former hurdles out of
the way? Is it a sign of fate, that their kids in a parallel story seem to also have bonded in what
seems like a blooming romantic connection? Stay tuned to find out more!
