Dates are a part of the Muslim culture for over 4000 something years and this sweet fruit is a boon, perhaps one of the healthiest sources of energy for its high nutritional value. More importantly, Khajoor were dear to our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the word “date” has been mentioned in the Holy Quran more than 20 times,“break year our fast by eating dates as it is purifying”. So Muslims around the word break their fast by eating 2-3 dates also because dates restore the low blood sugar level that is caused by fasting during Ramzan, and there is more than just one variety of these delectables.
