Out of the numerous hit dramas produced every year, this time ARY Digital’s Mere Humsafar has caught the masses attention. So much so, that recently episode 15 was trending internationally; ranking #1 in India!
It’s no surprise that the drama has amassed such a following and is being watched across borders. The storyline of the series revolves around a classic love story with the age old saas-bahu feud on the side. Additionally, the lead actors; Farhan Saeed and HaniaAamir, have an attraction of their own that is purely magnetic.
The drama is set on the pretext that Hala’s father marries a foreigner, who abandons the two after the birth of Hala. Over time, Hala’s father decides to marry again; but Hala’s existence is an obstacle. This leads to her father sending her back to Pakistan to live with her paternal grandmother and the rest of the family, bribing them with monthly payments for her care.
The never-before-seen pairing between Farhan Saeed and HaniaAamir has fans buzzing, as the two share a certain chemistry that remains unexplored. While the drama series offers a lot more in terms of its enthralling narrative, character development and exceptionally-talented cast, we’re all about Hamza (Farhan Saeed) and Hala (HaniaAamir)!
Here’s 5 reasons why we can’t get enough of this titillating pair!
- Hamza Helps Hala Sort Out her Emotions
HaniaAamir’s character; Hala, is depicted as soft-spoken, scared and naïve. Although she has a soft spot for her cousin Hamza, initially she is not aware of just how deep her feelings for him run due to the struggles she has faced as a child. This leaves Hamza to coax her out of her shell by supporting her and showing her affection to raise her courage. - The Progression and Evolution of the Two
Hamza stands his ground and does not let his mother or his wife sway him or his decisions. He is a man of his word and does not let go of his respect or dignity, even though he loves Hala. In one episode he ends up screaming at her, only to apologize later on and communicate the point of his frustration. - Them Seeing Each Other in a New Light
It’s the littlest things about these two that really get to us, such as Hamza offering to drop Hala off at her grandmother’s before leaving for work, and paying attention to the little things about her, such as enquiring about her breakfast times, and helping her into bed amongst others. - Their Great Love Story
The love that the two share is portrayed in a very different way from what has been seen in dramas usually. The notion of love has been represented through support, care and respect for one another. The way they cater to each other’s feelings and communicate with one another makes the heart melt naturally. How can we not like these two? - They Remain United in the Face of Adversity
While the two face a lot together, their honesty towards one another only brings them together. On one hand, Hamza’s mother keeps plotting against her daughter-in-law; with threats of collecting proof regarding Hala’s distant cousin, and ex-flame, Khurram. On the other hand, Hamza’s cousin Sameen who is madly in love with him, tries to commit suicide after Hamza and Hala’svalima. Throughout the turmoil, Hamza refuses to give in and stands his ground, not letting external influences affect his relationship with his wife.
How can we not fall for this couple? The love and support that Hamza bestows upon Hala is what we all wish from our significant others. To be understood without having to verbalize each and every thought and to have someone stand by our side through thick and thin, is what we all dream and wish for. We hope to see a lot more of the two in the upcoming episodes.
