Mothers can be quiet the controversial character, haha!
I mean, she’ll light light your mood up on fire with her off-timing jokes in front of your friends, she’ll say things she doesn’t mean (because they’re are lessons to be learnt), she’ll call you 10 times till you don’t come back home, and she’ll ask you to eavesdrop on your brothers private call. But she’ll do also do some things that will fill your heart with love for her. She’ll sacrifice her last savings so you could pay for your trip up North, she’ll smother you with unconditional love, surprise you with your favourite Yakhni Pulao with an endless list of things that you can’t even count.
There are so many things a mother does for her children, I mean you can’t even count and they’re just blessings in disguise. But there are some very universal things that all mothers do that we don’t know how to categorise so we’re just putting them out here!
SHE’LL CALL YOU 4 DIFFERENT NAMES BEFORE USING YOUR REAL NAME
If this isn’t maddeningly, mind-numbingly sweet or crazy, then we don’t know what is. And it happens EVERY TIME.
SHE’LL LET YOU SLEEP TILL 4PM & BRING THE HOUSE DOWN
But she will make it a point to make you feel guilty about it later just because, even though she could have woken you up.
SHE’LL BADGER YOU TO DO THE HOUSE CHORES
But when you’ll end up in the kitchen, she’ll show you the door saying, shaadi ke baad har aurat ne ghar ka kam karna he hai.
SHE’LL CURSE YOU PRIVATELY BUT PRAISE YOU PUBLICLLY
OMG! I don’t think anyone’s ever adjusted to this fact!
SHE’LL HELP YOU PICK AN OUTFIT FOR A PARTY & END UP BICKERING ABOUT HOW YOU DON’T STUDY ENOUGH
I mean, why? Why did you have to ruin my mood right before I was about to leave and have some fun with my friends?
SHE’LL DROWN YOU IN MOM-GUILT FOR GOING OUT LATE AT NIGHT
Yes, she’ll make you feel everything, how the world will end burning, or something bad will happen and she’s here at home by herself, praying for your safe return. And she’ll open the door for you after half past 12 also. Matlab what?
SHE’LL AGREE TO LET YOU GO OUT & PLAY BUT…
You came back with a bruise and amma ne tu kaha tha ke mat jao kyun yeh tu hona tha. Mainay kaha tha jao? Kaha tha na chot lagay gi. Ab main kia karoon?
