Strong addresses, powerful musical performances and Inauguration fashion 2021, were some of the major highlights from last night’s inauguration ceremony for the US presidency. Everything about this event was historic like Kamala Harris being the first Black woman who happens to be South Asian and is the 46th Vice President. But hey, even she stunned and sported the best inauguration fashion 2021.
What caught our eye though were the stylishly tailored coats and cuts worn on such a huge platform omitting the overdone gown look. Seeing these people wear coats felt like what normal people like us do! So the inauguration fashion 2021 inspo was relatable!
Amongst so many statement coat looks for masked up outing, we picked our top favourites!
The former first lady still knows how to serve and she surely did make quite the impression in this statement monochrome look in a Sergio Hudson coat, sweater, pants, and belt; Stuart Weitzman boots; Christy Rilling mask!
We were struck by the smart tailoring of the coat, clean and chic!
The eclectic Lady Gaga stunned in a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit with that massive red skirt and that striking gold bird brooch! Hunger Games, eh?
Super ultra-chic and totally rad was this young poetess and writer, Amanda Gordon who was wearing Prada, head-to-toe including a vibrant yellow coat, white blouse and black skirt, plus a red satin Prada headband and bedazzled red face mask.
But the bright and eye catching canary yellow coat (apart from the headband) got our head rolling.
The “Lets Get Loud” singer was clad in Channel from head-to-toe and all that bling! Jenifer Lopez doned Swarovski-encrusted looks for a ruffled silk blouse and a floor-length tweed coat, paired with Chanel pearl earrings, pearl bracelets, and pearl belt. There was, however, a peek of sparkle underneath it all: her sequined wide-leg pants.
More to monochrome tis season!
An unexpected stylish look was pulled off by Ella Emhoff in that plaid Miu Miu coat in all the warm colors the fashion season. The coat featured statement shoulders embellished with a smattering of crystals and an oversized, embroidered collar poking over the labels. Underneath, she wore a Batsheva dress and topped the whole look off with a simple black headband.
All the more reasons to wear shoulder pads, ladies!
