If you want to make your lockdown Eid fun, there are a few simple things you can try to recreate your good Eid memories. It is true that the COVID situation in the country has put everything to a stop. While everyone is trying their best to follow the SOPs, it looks like the whole week of Eid will be home-bound for most. However, Eid can be fun staying indoors too. Want to know how? Let’s find out together by looking at 7 ways to make Eid fun in lockdown.

Take a Trip to Memory Lane!

It’s the best time to reconnect and have family time together. All family members can sit together and watch family function movies, childhood birthday celebrations, etc. Old photo albums bring out good old memories. it’s possible to have a fun and meaningful time at home, with limited resources, and create beautiful memories.

Watch Eid Shows And Movies

You can tune in to one of the many local TV channels to watch Eid transmissions and telefilms. Moreover, you can make it fun by adding a meal of your choice. Most people prefer to go out on Eids to spend time with their family. While this may not be an option this year, you can order food and enjoy the TV together.

Get Creative with Decorations

Another way to create that Eid vibe in your home is to fill your house with Eid decorations. This can be balloons, banners, bunting, or lights. You could also create your decorations in the days before. Pinterest is filled with loads of ideas on how to create Eid decoration and has many Eid sweet recipes too.

Make Eid fun in lockdown

Cook Special Meals

Make something special which the family does not normally eat, it can be sweet, sour, or in-between. The point is that Eid is special, and the food we eat on this day should be better and different from our usual meals. You can also try out new recipes of food and desserts to make your time worthwhile.

Family Fest

If you have a lawn, patio, or a similar setup you can use that space to arrange a good family table and can enjoy yourself with the members at home. And those who are not here physically can be connected through Facetime or other social sites! You can still hold onto the Eid spirit while talking to your family on a video call.

Group Voice And Video Calls

Everyone has had a difficult time over the last few weeks and our friends would surely find it touching to receive a phone call on the day of Eid, or even a voice or video message. It’s surely more personal and blessed than sending out a group message of ‘Eid Mubarak!’. You can have all the fun that you would like to have with your friends by communicating over a video call.

Give Online ‘Eidi’

Make Eid fun in lockdown

Maybe you’ve been unable to buy presents for people this Eid due to lockdown. Some kids love it in cash. Why not send them their ‘Eidi’ through digital banking? This way, none of the kids go unhappy through the days of Eid.
