Over the past few years major brands and celebrities have used Instagram as a way of engaging their audience as well as keeping their image up to date. Instagram, much like Youtube, has lent fame to many bloggers, fitness enthusiasts, food critics and fashionistas as well. Many social media celebrities are promoting major brands on their Instagram pages primarily due to their followers and are earning a generous pay. If you are looking to become Insta- Famous, here are a few hacks that will help you along the way:
#FIND YOUR NICHE
In order to attract the right crowd, figure out what you want to concentrate on. Whilst you will have many visitors on your page, only those who are corely interested in your content will engage with you and follow you. So if you want to share fitness posts, you can vary it as much as you like- from workouts to meals, eating out, atheleisure wear and cheat days.
Instagram posts that have hashtags are engaged with 12% more than those that have none. If you want people from all over the world to discover you, its important to use hashtags. Even if you are eating an egg for breakfast and you post a photo of it, make sure to use hash tags so it appears in recent posts.
If you are going to a new restaurant or cafe, make sure to turn on your location settings. Sharing locations when visiting public places makes your followers feel more connected to you, even if you post the photo a day later.
#ENGAGE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE
A great way to engage with you audience is via Insta Stories or Insta Live. Insta Live allows you to live stream and you followers can join in and leave comments or ask questions. It’s a great way to learning what your audience is looking for. Insta Stories allows you to upload videos and pictures in the form of a story where you can tag places and other people. This way your followers feel more connected to you.
#BE CONSISTENT & PERSISTENT
This rule applies to all things related to social media. When aspiring to be Insta Famous, it is essential to post content continuously. This also doesn’t mean you go all out. Pace yourself and post enough content to keep your followers checking back for more but not so much that they get annoyed with your constant posts. The key here is to keep them checking back for more.
