The Best Vitamin C Serums For A Bright Complexion

June 5, 2023

Experts agree that everyone should use a vitamin C serum, but the strength often varies from person to person because Vitamin C can irritate the skin, so it’s wise to use a 10% concentration if you’re new to it.

If you’ve wanted a clear, smooth, vibrant complexion with less age and sun spots and pigmentation, then this vital ingredient is your calling. But how do you figure out which Vitamin C serum is best for you?

What Should You Look For In A Vitamin C Serum

The key ingredient is L-ascorbic acid. “It’s a pure form of vitamin c.” It penetrates more deeply than other forms, making it more likely to reach the layers of skin where you actually need it to work.

You should look for serums that contain 10% to 20% vitamin c because less than 10% is not as effective, and over 20% causes more skin irritation. And ye, you can use vitamin c everyday!

Here are a few vitamin C serums that we suggest:

CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum With Hyaluronic Acid

Gentle, yet effective lightweight vitamin C serum with three essential ceramides also helps to restore your protective skin barrier and hyaluronic acid retains moisture. It’s suited for all skin types and helps to  to brighten their complexion, protect against free radicals, all while respecting the skin’s natural barrier.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum

La Roche-Possay 10% Pure Vitamin C Face Serum

This anti-ageing serum also has salcylic acid which helps with acne and clogged pores and is ideal for people with oily skin.  With the addition of glycerin and hyaluronic acid, your skin will remain smooth and hydrated.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

A vitamin C serum that provides environmental protection, lightens lines, firms skin and brightens your complexion with the combo of ferulic acid and vitamin E. This formula improves signs of aging and photodamage to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while firming and brightening your complexion.

The Inkey List 15% Vitamin C & EGF Brightening Serum
