Since its inception in 2001, FnkAsia has been embraced by free-spirited and confident women who are drawn to the brand’s unique signature aesthetic whose design ethos is buoyed by a strong commitment in reviving original indigenous crafts and posting them in a fashion milieu, having been showcased at myriad Fashion Weeks; nominated for various awards and presented at many international platforms.
“FNKAsia is something very close to my heart,” Huma enthuses.” It’s fun; it’s quirky and it adds multi-cultural inspiration to Pakistani aesthetics,” she adds.
In 2016 FNKAsia showcased its Spring Summer 2016 collection “Organic Modernity” at FPW ’16 the fashion house had created beautiful summery hand- prints in white and sand pink juxtaposed with shades of blues: cobalt, powder and pottery blue melded onto organic cuts and textures. The prints were created by hand on blocks and screens. “I love shaking things up. I think it’s important for women these days to know it’s okay not to be like everybody else.” Huma explains about the inspiration behind the collection which was immediately made available at FNKAsia’s signature store in Dolmen City Clifton and online.
“I try not to miss any season at fashion weeks be it Karachi or Lahore, Huma reiterates. “I also showcased a capsule signature resort bridal collection at Bridal Couture Week ’16,” she adds.
Some of the key trends seen this season at FNKAsia are:
- Structured Jacket Shirts
- Embroidered Shalwars: Ornate gilt on sand pink
- Fringe and Tassles: on crop tops, skirts and shirt-jackets
- Handcrafted indigenous jewellery
- Asymmetrical Cuts seen in tunics.
- Crop Tops
- Straight Pants

“HUMA ADNAN is also on the same guidelines for the modern Pakistani woman who is aware of traditions yet is very strong in her individual style statement,” Huma explains.
“I have evolved as a woman and I feel the brand also needs to branch out with me.”
