4 WAYS TO (DELICIOUSLY) EAT FLAXSEED

Remember, we told you about the incredible benefits of the Linwood flaxseed? Like we mentioned in our previous post, it is a great way to get a healthy jumpstart to better living.

Flaxseed is an excellent source of nutrients that aid your body into increasing metabolism that act as a catalyst to improving digestion. It helps control diabetes and is a great way to combat cardiovascular diseases such as high cholesterol and increased blood pressure. Studies also show that it may help in prevention of cancerous cells from developing in the body.

There are numerous benefits of consuming flaxseed on a daily basis, however, eating a tablespoon of unadulterated seeds isn’t an easy task for many. Since Linwood has created a range of flaxseed mixes with a variety of other nutritious ingredients (Goji Berries, Apple, Cinnamon) keeping in mind the broad spectrum of benefits for health, we went around asking Linwood to help us get an insight on some delicious ways of eating this super food. Here is what they recommend:

  • Add your flaxseed concoction to a cup of yoghurt with fresh fruits. Not only is it a healthy option, but it will also add that delicious crunch to your breakfast! If you are not a big fan of eating yoghurt for breakfast, you can always add it to your morning porridge.
  •  A great way to incorporate this incredible ingredient is to simply add it in your baked goods like cakes, brownies, breakfast muffins!
  • If you, like us, love crispy chicken or batter-fried prawn, then you will want to try addig a bit of flaxseed to the breadcrumbs and fry away. We promise, it will taste scrumptious!
  • If you aren’t a big fan of eating flaxseed but need to add it to your diet then we will suggest drinking it. Yes, you heard us! Grind the flaxseed to a powder form in a processor and simply add to a smoothie, fresh juice or even your coffee!
