HEALTH FOOD: FLAXSEED

For all those jumping on the dieting bandwagon, remember; dieting is not a about losing weight it is about getting fit. Skinny is out and strong is the new sexy! But now you can achieve both with a single miracle product added to your regular meals.

The experts at Linwoods have carefully designed a variety of concoctions of Flaxseed  that will single-handedly relieve you of numerous potential threats to your body goals. (Our fav two are Flaxseed and Goji Berries, Ground Flaxseed Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds)

Flaxseed is a miracle product that can really benefit  your health in a lot of ways. It helps fight  diseases such as cancer (breast, prostrate, skin), diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, depression and many more. Here are some of the beneficial nutrients that flaxseeds have!

Protein

It is an essential nutrient the human body requires and perhaps what the body needs most on a daily basis to help build tissue and muscles. However, most people are not able to fulfil the entire amount and usually end up short of the recommended dosage. 4 tablespoons of this super food will give you your daily protein portion.

Fibre

Fibre is another component essential for the human body but it requires one to go out of the way to acquire. Simple solution; add a tablespoon of flaxseed in your meals. It is rich in fibre, both soluble and insoluble. We all know that means enhanced metabolism and healthy bowl regularity. It will also aid in better digestion leading to potential weight loss and clearer skin.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Flaxseed is also extremely rich in the Omega-3 fatty acids that are known agents of maintaining and regulating cholesterol levels in the bloodstream and helping fight off heart disease as a result. Each tablespoon of grounded flaxseed contains as much as 1.8 grams of omega-3!
