[tps_header]I was never a health freak; partly because I have been blessed with great genes, partly because like many I am lazy and inconsistent. Having relied on shortcuts to lose weight all my life, I relied on quick fixes to shed of the few kilos I would gain during Mango season! Whether it was an approaching wedding, or a photograph I looked fat in, my reasons to exercise or go on a diet were always temporary and fickle!
Recently, after having my second baby and packing a few extra kilos, I realized quick fixes really don’t work as well in mid thirties as they did just a few years ago! I tried everything. Giving up meetha, not having wheat, resorting to poultry and boiled rice meals, brisk walk, but the weighing scale wouldn’t budge! That is when I started reading and realized I had a lifetime of health mistakes to answer for.
Luckily, I have found a great answer to my health and fitness woes-The Forever Lean program conducted by Adnan Farooq at CORE in Lahore. For the next few weeks, I will take you through my journey towards my healthy new life, for now I have some amazing tips I have learnt during the first week of signing up (and vowed to see through) this amazing 6 weeks program!

Everything depends on what kind of metabolism you have. Starving yourself will never help, neither will panting your lungs out on a treadmill. It is all about reaching the right balance in your nutrition and exercise-and remember one plan doesn’t work for everyone
