palatino; font-size: small;”>I just fell in love with this magical practice while I was living in Singapore. Before moving back to Pakistan, I received my first certification purely because I wanted to dig deeper into the philosophy of yoga. After moving back a good friend asked to join my personal home practice and the next I knew I was teaching an entire class. It was my calling.

I teach 4 classes at Studio X. Yoga Basics, YinYang Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Hot Yoga. Starting with Yoga Basics to beat the Monday blues and as the week progresses we increase the intensity; by Saturday we sweat the week off with an energising Hot Yoga flow.

  Q. You’ve been a yogini for years now. What are some of the benefits of practicing yoga regularly that you’ve noticed yourself?

Benefits have been far beyond the physical toned arms & body, glowing skin and balanced hormones. Yoga is the study of self. I have found the ability to cultivate patience. Yoga has taught me to love myself & others, be less judgemental and most importantly live and love this current moment. It has taught me to be kind & open minded. We are all here on this earth on a journey. Yoga has made me aware of my journey.

palatino; font-size: small; line-height: 1.5em;”>100 Happy Days is a social media campaign where you post a new picture each day of something that makes you happy, or you’re grateful for that day. You can do this on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or whatever other social media forum you use most. I started it because I want to be happy all the time and not take a single day for granted. I am a pretty happy person in general (another great benefit of yoga) but when a close friend/ confidant told me about it, I was in! It’s a great self-study and really makes you question what in your day yields maximum amount of happiness. Sometimes I feel strange posting personal pictures but hey, come on, happiness is contagious. Happiness is all around and in the small things. Love this campaign! Let’s all spread happiness.

palatino; font-size: small;”>Eat 5-6 small meals all throughout the day, no carbs after 6pm. No saturated fats. Think lots of walking and keeping physically active.

palatino; font-size: small;”>Super foods are an intelligent food choice. Superfoods are a special category of food found in nature that are calorie sparse and nutrient dense. They are an intelligent choice of superior foods packed with the most amounts essential nutrients and filled with antioxidant qualities. Add super foods to your diet to maintain weight, fight diseases and energize your life. My favourite superfoods are chia seeds and goji berries.
